Fisheries Technicians: The 2010 season is well underway and we are approaching egg take. Egg take positions beginning in late August or early September are still available. Learn about hatchery life and experience Alaska, while earning a paycheck.
Job duties: include fish rearing, fish harvest, facility repair and maintenance, and general hatchery labor.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, aboard vessels and small aircraft.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and possess a current driver's license.
Fisheries or aquaculture experience preferred, but not required.
Wages: Wages begin at $9.00 per hour with free room and board in modern, dorm-style facilities.
